NEW BALANCE FOUNDATION FUNDS HIGHLY EFFECTIVE NON‑PROFIT INITIATIVES THAT FOSTER HEALTHIER, MORE RESILIENT COMMUNITIES, WITH A SPECIFIC FOCUS ON THE PREVENTION OF CHILDHOOD OBESITY.

We prioritize outcomes-driven programs that seed healthy lifestyles through physical activity and nutrition, and that power future success through academic enrichment and excellence.

Our geographic focus centers on Boston and Lawrence, MA and Norway, Norridgewock and Skowhegan, ME. Applications for national and global causes are by invitation only.

ELIGIBILITY

New Balance Foundation charitable giving is limited to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. In general, we support specific programs rather than making contributions to overall operating expenses.

FUNDING IS NOT CONSIDERED FOR THE FOLLOWING:

  • Political parties
  • Individual pursuits
  • Capital campaigns
  • Fundraising dinners & galas
  • Team sponsorships or sporting events
  • Film or television underwriting
  • Organizations that discriminate based on race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or national origin

APPLICATION PROCESS

EXISTING GRANT PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS

(Organizations that received a grant during the 2022-2023 grant cycle and wish to receive a grant for the 2023-2024 grant cycle)

If you are an existing grantee organization, you will receive an email with the application link and instructions in December 2022. Please note that each organization is limited to one request per year.

The deadline for applications is February 10, 2023.

NEW GRANT SEEKERS

(Organizations that did not receive a grant during the 2022-2023 grant cycle)

New Balance Foundation recognizes the significant and wide-ranging needs that exist in our global communities, and we take our commitment to community seriously. Our primary aim is to drive impact with existing grantees. Therefore, applications for new grant seekers in 2023 will be by invitation only.
